Alumni Events
We love welcoming alumni back to campus to connect, celebrate, and strengthen the Menlo community. Over the past several months, alumni and even parents of alumni have returned for beloved traditions like Spring Fling and the Alumni Baseball Game, as well as for milestone moments such as the transition of leadership on our Alumni Board.
Alumni Baseball
The Alumni Baseball Game brought generations of former players back to campus for the annual matchup against the varsity team! It was wonderful to see alums doing what they love, and while varsity squeaked by with a win, the day was filled with laughs and a strong showing of Menlo spirit. Go Knights!

Alumni Board End-of-Year Celebration
In May, the Alumni Board, Class Agents, and the Young Alumni Advisory Committee gathered to celebrate the end of a fantastic year.
With alumni representing classes from 1966 to 2020, we bid a fond farewell to Alumni Board President Priyanka Goel-Chandrasekar ’03, who completed her three-year term. We also welcomed Scott Barkley ’88 as the incoming President and Gina Marek ’02 as Vice President.

Menlo Alumni at SFMOMA

Alumni
Spotted on Campus
Over the past year, we’ve had the joy of bridging the past with the present as alumni returned to Menlo to share their experiences with current students. Whether visiting campus or connecting virtually, these graduates generously offered their time and expertise. A heartfelt thank-you to all who participated—your presence continues to inspire our students and strengthen the Menlo community.
HOSA, a student club focused on health occupations, welcomed Alden Conner ’02 back to campus for a talk on how neuroscientists use advanced imaging techniques to study the brain. Alden discussed how innovations—from 17th-century optical principles to AI-powered methods—have helped uncover the neural basis of learning, memory, and behavior.

Stanford Men’s Basketball Associate Head Coach and Menlo School alum Eric Reveno ’84 was back on campus talking with Knights coaches.
Jason Moon ’17 returned to Menlo School as part of Music@Menlo’s annual Winter Residency Program. Each winter, this program brings a select group of rising stars from the classical music world to campus, offering Menlo students the chance to engage in enriching sessions. Jason’s return provided a special opportunity for students to connect with an alum while experiencing exceptional chamber music.
Thomas Woodside ’19, who works in the field of AI ethics and policy, recently returned to Menlo via Zoom to speak with students about the future of AI, what it’s like to work with the government to create change, and what he wishes he had taken more advantage of during his time at Menlo. Thomas played a key role in advancing California Senate Bill 1047, legislation that sought to regulate AI development. The effort has sparked meaningful dialogue around AI policy and safety.
Jane Zafran ’18 returned to campus and served as a significant contributor to this edition of Menlo Magazine.
Blythe Jack ’92, Ted Wilson ’98, Jamie Davidson ’02, Mojan Movassate ’02, Kevin Platshon ’03, and Brian Kasser ’86 shared their time and expertise as advisors and judges for Menlo’s “Shark Tank for Good” MTerm program. The program challenged Menlo juniors to identify and propose solutions to local problems, all within less than two weeks.
Class of 2024 alumni Ryan Li, Madison Brown, Joelle Kim, Anya Patel, and Theo Sanders returned to campus to speak at an MSPA meeting, sharing how their Menlo experience prepared them to navigate college with confidence. They covered a range of topics, including academic preparation, social adjustments, and valuable advice for parents from a student perspective.
